The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the official ecolabel of the Nordic countries. Their vision is to create a sustainable society. Buying a product carrying the label is a choice for social, economic and environmental sustainability.
Complete life cycle evaluation.
To qualify for the label, strict requirements are applied to all phases of the bed’s life cycle. Materials, production methods, suppliers, product quality and recycling are all evaluated before a product is approved.
Reduction of harmful chemicals.
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is one of the world’s strictest when it comes to the reduction of chemicals that could be harmful to people or environment.
Continuously sustainable development.
With each year the requirements get increasingly tough. This ensures a continuously sustainable development.
Nordic Swan labelled since 2006.
Our first beds qualified for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel already in 2006 and our products and production have been constantly revised ever since in order for us to keep the label.
Supporting the United Nations.
The Nordic Swan supports UN:s goals for sustainable development. In particular goal number twelve focusing on sustainable use of natural resources. Among many other things, this goal is targeting the achievement of environmentally sound management of chemicals and wastes. In this way, The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is a strong instrument for phasing out substances that are hazardous to health and environment. And we are proud to help prevent both users and factory workers from being exposed to harmful chemicals – and to reduce the contamination of air, water and soil.
