The snooze function is enabled by a gyro sensor that produces a gentle rattling sound — this is completely normal and part of the design. Bell stands stable on the rotatable base.

The screen lights up upon touch and remains lit for 4 minutes, after which it turns off to not disturb your nighttime sleep.
