”Up to 28 people and nearly 35 individual production steps are required to
make a Jensen bed.”
People first
While technology and the automation of our production have made it more efficient, it’s the people that make our beds what they are. Our skilled workers are involved in every part of the process – either directly with their own hands or by overseeing the work done by machinery. From quality checking the materials to careful assembly and packing, nearly 35 individual production steps are required to make a Jensen bed. The process involves up to 28 people contributing their expertise to ensure our high-quality standards are met.
Our history is our future
The Jensen story goes all the way back to 1947. We still produce our beds in the little Norwegian town Svelvik, along the powerful Drammen fiord near Oslo. Some of our employees are now the third generation of passionate bed-builders. Together, we are dedicated to making a long-lasting contribution to sleep comfort.
Material matter
We want our beds to stand the test of time – and be kind to the environment. By using materials that are responsibly sourced and that have the specific qualities needed to ensure long-lasting sleep comfort, we make beds that are both an investment in your sleep health, and the health of our planet. Our circular design principles also make it possible to replace several of the individual parts of your bed, should the need arise many years into the future.
