Elias and Kajsa – Norwegians traveling the world
By investing in a camper van and doing the necessary adaptations, Elias and Kajsa have really taken their love for traveling to a whole new level. They are travel influencers and content producers, and now they can explore new places all over Europe on their own terms. Their travels have opened up a world of opportunities for the young couple. Now they even sleep perfectly well while on the road.
How did the idea of a camper van turn up?
It started spontaneously in 2022 after an unbelievably wonderful four months travel in Asia. When we returned, our thirst for adventure was even stronger, and the idea of a camper turned up. We usually travel in Norway with a tent or we slept in the car, but now it was time for the next step.
We made some adjustments and two things were essential: Practical storage place for clothes and equipment, and a really good mattress – preferably from Jensen.
We knew that a quality mattress is essential for good sleep. After doing some research we ended up with Jensen, known for high quality and sleep comfort, and now we have a Jensen mattress that fits perfectly in the camper van and gives us the support and comfort we need.
What does traveling give you and how do you combine traveling with work?
All our travels have contributed to our personal growth, through new impressions, cultures and experiences.
The reason for us being able to travel, is our work as content producers. We have lived from our camera the past four years, and this has given us the freedom to explore new places. One of the best parts of this lifestyle is that we can work from anywhere and still be productive.
To combine work and travel is living a dream. It gives us the feeling of freedom, creativity and flexibility. We can meet new people and explore, while creating inspiring content. This lifestyle only improves our quality of life and gives us the opportunity to share our experiences with the world.
Do you have any travel hacks?
It’s not necessary with loads of equipment to travel comfortably. Identify your needs and bring the most essential stuff.
Invest in a good cooler.
Either you travel by car, go camping or live in a van, a quality cooler can be a gamechanger. It lets you store food and beverages at correct temperatures, making everything fresher.
For extra comfort and some luxury, we really recommend you bring a duvet and pillow.
Even when on adventures, don’t compromise with a good night’s sleep. A comfortable duvet and pillow can make your night in a tent or camper van more relaxing and comfortable.
Travel is about discovering new places and experiencing new adventures.
Be spontaneous and flexible. Follow the sun and go where you get light and good weather. Being able to change plans gives you the opportunity to discover places you probably didn’t think of from the start.
Remember to enjoy every moment. It doesn’t have to be complicated, in order to be amazing.
What are your plans for the Summer?
We have some exciting plans with our camper van. We are going to the Alps in France, Italy and Austria, where we are spending some active weeks hiking and creating content, inspiring others to explore these areas.
Then we go to the coast, maybe to Slovenia and Croatia. We have heard so much about the beauty of these countries. We continue to Italy, and have decided to be open and play it by ear. There are endless opportunities when the camper van is our home.
Do you sleep well when traveling?
After many bad nights the past years, we have understood the importance of investing in good sleep. With a Jensen mattress and their temperature regulating TempSmart pillows and linen, we almost have the same comfort as at home.
As full-time content producers we want to inspire others by communicating great travel adventures, and we depend on good sleep to manage long and active days. Quality sleep not only gives us restitution but also mental clarity and energy to explore and be creative. Good sleep makes us more present and alert in the moment.
