New colours add a natural Nordic touch
Jensen’s relaunch of the Supreme collection has inspired nine new colour options for the bedroom’s most important piece of furniture.
Jensen is launching nine new colours inspired by Norwegian nature; from long sandy beaches, deep sea and lush forest to piles of rocks, high mountain peaks and the dark night sky. The new options include beige and grey upholstery, but also shades of blue and green – two colours that have become popular base tones in many homes over the years.
Misty Mint is a colour inspired by cold glacier water and clear mountain air. This fresh yet subdued colour has been created in an exclusive woollen fabric woven from specially designed yarn produced by the Norwegian textile manufacturer Innvik Sellgren in four hues of grey, in combination with three shades of mint. The headboard also has silver threads running through the weave, giving the fabric an attractive iridescent sheen and depth.
While Misty Mint is a light shade on the green spectrum, another new colour from Jensen is a tone halfway between green and blue on the colour chart. Aqua is a bold and cool shade with clear references to the Norwegian winter scenery.
The dark, neutral Blue is another colour worth mentioning. The fabric is woven using the bouclé technique, meaning that the yarn is tied with small loops. This makes the fabric extra durable and gives it a soft and elegant look.
